Hackulous de firma achter Installous is al een tijd geleden gestopt met de applicatie Installous, nog steeds proberen veel gebruikers om het programma te installeren. Installous is bedoeld om gratis apps en games te installeren op een gejailbreakte iPhone, iPad of iPod Touch. Als je de applicatie nog steeds op je iDevice heb staan kan het zijn dat je de melding installous outdated te zien krijgt.
Gebruikers welke Installous opstarten krijgen de melding: utdated version, Installous will now terminate. Dit betekend dat de applicatie niet meer zal werken dit klopt aangezien de ontwikkelaar Hackulous is gestopt met de ondersteuning voor Installous.

We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.
